About the Game
Burned at the Stake is a “RoadLike” Game, mixture of rogue-like and tower defense mechanics, where you, an alchemist and a witch, are escaping from crazy religious peasants which wants to kill you!
Shoot them with magic and use your ability set to defeat tem and try to not die.

There are angry peasants, they want to kill you. You need to escape, kill them to not die.

Game Mechanics
The game have 2 phases:
- The first phase if the run! You need to kill the paesants with a magic beam and a magic aura, in order to survive and escale.
- The second phase is a resting phase where you need to choose the ability. You can have a limited set of abilities you can choose to progress, like a triple beam, a shield, a tesla coil and many more.
The game continues until the end, and if you die you need to start over!
The game uses a spline to follow the level in and “Endless run” mode, in this way the carriage does not get stopped, unless you hit an obstacle, allowing you to focus more on shooting the paesants. They can have a torch to hit you or a shotgun, where they can hit you from distance.
The Art Style
The art style is a Dark Fantasy view, with a obscured view, enlighed by the torches of the paesants or the burning stakes around the field, where heretics were burned to death.
